Goodbye 2011 and Hello 2012

Happy New Year to you.

I hope you had an enjoyable festive season and managed to get in some crafting time & lots of socialising.

Finding the perfect heart shape has been bugging me, I am wanting to sew hanging hearts and stuff them with toy filling. I was doing this to put round bottles to take to friends over the festive season but the shape doesn’t seem to be 100% perfect.  I will keep investigating it, the question seems to be pointy or round  (too much time on my hands I hear you cry)???

I am feeling full of inspiration for the new year and am ready to take orders for upcycling (the only cycling I do) cotton to make Bexydresses for little friends, nieces, god-daughters, grand-daughters and of course your daughters.  Drop me an email if you are interested.

The dress pictured below, belonged to my friends mother,  my friend is now an aunt to twin girls, Martha & Maisy.  The dresses were a christmas present for them so they each have a dress made from grandmothers (beautiful) vintage cocktail dress.  That was another slightly nervous first cut but once I got going it was all good. I’m really looking forward to seeing a photo of the twins wearing the dresses.
